Hana Albqaeen

Hana began working with Dr. Della Porta in 2021, investigating different pedagogical approaches. In this process she came to understand the need to understand the power behind these approaches prior to adapting the approaches across different contexts.

She is a big supporter of the Reggio Emilia approach and has spent time reflecting on the concept of the 100 languages of children, whereby we recognize that children communicate, think, and learn in so many more ways than simply language.  

Hana will begin study in the Master of Education Program at Brock University in Fall 2022 following her graduation from the Bachelor of Early Childhood Education (Honours) in Spring 2021.

Prior to pursuing her degree in the BECE program, Hana worked as a science teacher in her native Jordan for 10 years, and later as an early childhood resource teacher working with immigrant and refugee families for another 10 years in Hamilton, ON.
