Niluja joined the research team in 2021 working with Dr. Sandra Della Porta, focusing on Social Power from a unique lens.
Her work with children 0-6 years, as well as her experience with youth up to 18 years of age has informed her passion to study self-regulation.
She is currently a doctoral student at Brock University exploring educators’ emotional self-regulation in the Full-Day Kindergarten (FDK) classroom across Ontario.
Niluja’s lived experience as a Sri Lankan allows her to understand and appreciate diverse cultures. She always enjoy working with children and youth in a multicultural environment.
Putri Sukmantari

B.A., Psychology, Atmajaya University, Indonesia
Putri joined the research team in 2019 when she was a graduate student at the Faculty of Education at Brock University and continued on after her graduation. She has an undergraduate degree in Psychology and years of practical experience in early childhood education.
She owns and is the Director of Education at Mentari Intelegensia School in Jakarta, Indonesia, and she works as Program and Pedagogy Coordinator in two childcare centres.
She is interested in problem-solving, critical thinking, power dynamics, and play-based learning in early years.
